Fair Day was great!! We started off checking out the bovines & longhorns. They still had quite a few there for the shows and the boys really liked seeing that this year. We also went to the petting zoo, which Jacob thought was full of 'kitties' and 'tortows' (turtles).
After that, we walked past the Cotton Bowl and found this sign...only in Texas:
After that we ventured over to find some fine fair food...started off with some chocolate covered strawberry waffle balls and my dad got a Belgian waffle loaded with powdered sugar and whipped cream. He was a mess & so was I after walking next to someone eating a Belgian waffle covered with powdered sugar on a windy day...it was worth it though :)
Then we hit the aquarium, the Birds of the World show and the museums. At the museums we dug for dinosaur bones, blew giant bubbles, played a video game about the internet, pretended to be ants (only the boys did this...I didn't feel like having to have the paramedics pull a 6 1/2 month prego woman out of the ant hill), rock climbed, played dress up and learned how to operate a hot air balloon. That little costume that Jake is wearing makes him look like Max from "Where the Wild Things Are." So cute!
