This week the boys and I ventured out with some buddies to the Elgin Christmas Tree Farm for their pumpkin patch. We had a great time...crazy time, but great. There were a total of 16 kids (only 4 of which were girls), all between the ages of birth to 6 years old...and 6 adults...probably don't have to elaborate much on how that went ;)
We climbed the pumpkins that were for sale (well the boys did), took a hayride through the fields of growing Christmas trees, ate some lunch, had duck races, picked out and painted pumpkins and played with a horse. By the time we got around to doing the hay bale maze, it was a little toasty outside so we decided to hit the AC in the car and blast on home. Jacob LOVES pumpkins (we've been reading The Five Little Pumpkins before bed). John had a great time decorating his too. It started as a girl, but then the car full of boys decided that they did not need any girls and so the hair was removed and it became a boy.
I love this time of year. There are so many fun things to do!! Stay tuned...
