Here's what's been going on:
1. I got braces again...it is for a purpose, I didn't want to just relive those wonderful middle school years. I should have these babies off in Jan, so it's not so bad.
It all started with the Kyle Stake Pioneer Day Celebration. Texans sure know how to celebrate!! The Celebration was complete with BBQ (buffalo and pork), live country music (nothing says Pioneer Day like "Achy Breaky Heart"), sno cones, cotton candy, jumping castles, handcart rides, stagecoach rides and fireworks...real fireworks!!
We also had tubing trip down the Comal River, which I don't have pictures of b/c we were wet, but it was John's first tubing trip. He really enjoyed it except for the water being around 70 degrees and kind of chilly. After tubing we went back to the house and had a great lunch, which was followed by shark cupcakes!! Carrie and Grandma had perfect timing for these because it is Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. Something John and I look forward to every year!!
We finished up the celebration weekend to the Salt Lick...soooooo good!!! We are counting the days until the Salt Lick in Round Rock opens!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY POP!!
Thanks for visiting Carrie!!!
