Who would have thought?

Today was quite the day of adventures for me and the boys. We had nothing to do (that NEVER happens), so we planned a trip to Waco, Texas and met up with my parents for the day. First we hit the Cameron Park Zoo. AWESOME little zoo!! The boys had a great time. We had some great upclose encounters with the animals. There were maybe 2-3 other families at the zoo and the weather was GORGEOUS!!! We went to this zoo back in August, but it was about 105 outside and 80% humidity and just miserable. This time, it was about 65 and sunny with a little breeze, so we felt like actually wandering around and looking at things this time.

We ate a little lunch and then headed to the Mayborn Museum Complex at Baylor University. They have a wonderful kids discovery section. We looked at animals, weather, physics, the human body, and they had a 'little town' for the kids (complete with cars to drive to the stocked grocery store and fill up with gas). Jacob slept through most of this, but John had a great time. Unfortunately we ran out of time and didn't make it through all of the museum's exhibits, but we plan on going back.

Who knew Waco was so much fun!!!
