For awhile now I've been wanting to have a central place that has our calendar, important info and the boys school stuff. However, we do not have a "mud room" in our house (note to self: with 3 boys, it's very important to have a mud room). So I decided to create one in the back hallway. I've looked and looked for the right things but couldn't find what I wanted at a decent price. Pottery Barn has some great things, but they are ridiculously priced. SO, I made my own. I found the chalkboard calendar at hobby lobby for under $20, the wall magazine (homework folder) holder also at hobby lobby for under $15, the artwork and picture display line at ikea (thanks kerilyn for the idea) and the hooks at home depot. The big chalkboard used to be a mirror my mom gave me but i never had anything to do with it, so I painted it into a chalkboard and there you go. I'm just really excited to have things more organized and off of the floor!!!

Glad to see the old mirror put to good use -- looks great! Love, Grammy
Looks even neater in person! Good work, Moni!
Good job!
