Part of what I love about this time of year is all the neat activities they have going on around in the area...that discuss the true meaning of Christmas. One of my favorites is the Main Street Bethlehem in Burnet, TX (pronounced burn-it). We went this evening and had a good time despite the long lines. John was really interested in things this year...he said his favorite part was watching the blacksmith make swords. By the time we got to the nativitiy scene, he was chomping at the bit to get to the hot chocolate and cookies (despite it being almost 80 outside)! Here are a few pics from the adventure:
